The Senior Girls division at The Big Ticket should be a good indicator of where the season will go when the end of February comes around.
Four of the top six teams from AAA will be at the tournament duking it out, while AA runners up G.W. Graham and traditional powerhouse Seycove will be there as well.
It should also be a good preview for the new, four-tier system that will be in place for the first time this season. Three of the top teams in the new AAA tier will all be in this tournament — McMath, Abbotsford Senior, and Argyle.
"The Wildcats look set to have one of their best seasons in school history," said head coach Chris Kennedy on his team's prospects this season. "[We] have a heavy early schedule with some of the top teams from all tiers before Christmas.
[We] also have 5 players still involved with their fall school sports provincials so will use the early season tournaments as a chance to prepare for their after-Christmas schedule."
The Senior Girls will play at Riverside, McMath, and Abbotsford Senior for the first three days before switching strictly to Abbotsford for the last two days. Games at Abbotsford Senior will start early at 1:00 p.m. daily.
