The Big Ticket has quickly become the premier opening tournament for the Junior Boys division.
The defending champions Burnaby South Rebels will be in the tournament and will be likely one of the favourites to take home the banner. Runners up R.A. McMath will be in attendance, as well as third-place Vancouver College and 4th place Saint Patrick's. The Wildcats will be playing the Irish the first day at Elgin Park.
Another standout program will be A.R. MacNeill, who will be playing at St. George's at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
"The Big Ticket will be an opportunity for the team to build chemistry, play tough back to back games and have the players understand the level of basketball that needs to be played to compete" said their head coach Bali Sandhu. "It will also give us coaches an opportunity to see what we need to work on to get better as the season goes on."
The four host schools for the preliminary rounds will be Elgin Park, St. George's, Pitt Meadows, and G.W. Graham. The semi-finals and finals will be held at Abbotsford Senior.
