Pitt Meadows dominate the glass to defeat Mark Isfeld

Pitt Meadows took on Mark Isfeld in the second game of the day in the AAA bracket. After being tied after three quarters, the Air Force Marauders used a strong start to the fourth to pull away and win 69-59.
The game started off as a back and forth affair, with both teams trading chances, resulting in a single point lead for Mark Isfeld after one. In the second, it was much of the same as Pitt used their advantage inside courtesy of Weren Giovanni Mau and Colton Leon to get easy baskets, but the explosiveness of Thaskani Mtawali for Mark Isfeld was also effective. The teams traded threes at the end of the half to make it 30-28.
In the second half, Pitt Meadows started off on a 10-2 run to take an eight point lead halfway thought. But Dawson Fox of Mark Isfeld hit two big three, and Mtawali had a three point play to eventually tie the game at 47. A 12-3 run to start the fourth for Pitt Meadows gave them enough breathing room to survive this one, even after a Fox three for Isfeld brought them to within eight late.
Mark Isfeld had no answer for Giovanni Manu, as he had a game high 34 points and 13 rebounds in the victory. Colton Leon and Benjamin Pollard both had 10 rebounds for Pitt, while Mtawali had 17 points for Isfeld. As a team, Pitt Meadows outrebounded Mark Isfeld 42-22.
