Langley Defended Their Home in the U15 Semifinal

In a back and forth game it was the home team that came out on top. It was Langley Sports who pulled away with the win 75-50 against visiting team, TriCounty Thunder.

Both teams were athletic which made for a fast-paced game. Langley used their speed to prove themselves the maters of the fast break. Guards looked for Tavia Rowell down to the court to get quick shots before the Thunder defence had time to set up.

Thunder fought back, with Maddy Adams and Summer Pahl pulling down several defensive rebounds. Summer Pahl in particular was effective at reading Langley’s offence, and was quick to pick off the ball any time the handler left it unprotected.

Both teams played a similar game, keeping their offence on the outside and using high screens to penetrate the key. Langley excelled at using their post players, with Brooklyn Golt setting strong screens and finding open spots in the key for quick shots.

Langley will move on to play in the finals tomorrow morning.
