Is this the best model for BC and our Student athletes?

I think the vast majority of our commissions are very supportive of working with BCSS on governance reform. They recognize a need for reform.

However our commissions support a model that continues to involve sport specific commissions and a process that includes commissions in the consultative process.

Why get rid of the experts who have been doing this for decades?

As an example, BCSSGBA (girls basketball association)_existed long before BCSS. The BC School Sports. The BCSSGBA, and many sport commissions have done so much for high school sport in bc.

This motion will bring that to an end.

There is no turning back and it really doesn’t seem like these are the people we need to turn our backs on.
