EXCLUSIVE Interviews with Members of Panorama Ridge Basketball - Manreen Punian and Tia Brian
Updated: Dec 6, 2022

Panorama Ridge undeniably had spectacular first two games for the Big Ticket Tournament with major wins against North Surrey and Abbotsford Christian Secondary. With the annual Player of the Games recognition, two players stood out that showed incredible shooting and hustling on the court; grade 12, Manreen Punian and grade 10, Tia Brian.
Punian’s highlight from this tournament so far is “executing plays that we have been practicing for a while perfectly. Also, hitting four three pointers for sure in the first game.” Her dedication to the game is noticeable through her overall score of sixteen points. She also shared how “playing in the Big Ticket Tournament is very exciting. Especially, since it is the last time [she] will play in this tournament, [she] feels very grateful for one last opportunity.”
Tia Brian emphasized how “so far, being on the seniors basketball team has been really enjoyable, especially getting to play with such amazing teammates. Since last year the Big Ticket was canceled, and now that it's back on, I think it's been such a great learning experience for me as a sophomore.” With high regard to her school, she appreciates how she “feels proud to be a part of representing PR in such a big tournament. There are so many talented teams we have never faced before. But by taking it one game at a time and giving our best efforts, it has really showcased what we can accomplish as a team.”
Panorama Ridge’s Senior Girls basketball team is definitely a one to watch as they continue to demonstrate key abilities on the court. Stay tuned to see how they will do in this notable tournament with upcoming games this week!
