Abbotsford Senior rack up the points against North Peace

North Peace raced out to a 13-4 lead early in the first, perhaps catching Abbotsford Senior napping. But the Panthers showed why they are so highly regarded, going on a 19-4 run the rest of the quarter. Marin Lenz had the three that put her team ahead, and after one it was 22-18 for Abbotsford Senior.

Abbotsford took control of this game in the second. They were dominant on defence, and scored 34 points to North Peace’s three. Sienna Lenz drained a big three as well as a steal and score. By the end of the first half, the Panthers were up 56-21 and in complete control.

The Panthers continued to dominate in the second half, outscoring North Peace 45-21 while resting many of their starters — they eventually won 101-43, the largest margin of victory so far in the AAA bracket.

Sienna Lenz of Abbotsford put in a dominant performance, finishing with 35 pooints, eight assists, and six rebound — most of which came in the first half. Marin Lenz had 22 points and nine assists.
